In M.U.G.E.N, Pepsiman has been made by namasu and suteneko. He also had his own game for the PlayStation, simply titled Pepsiman, where he had to run through the stages collecting Pepsi cans, in order to arrive where the thirsty people are to give them Pepsi, just like in the commercials. Pepsiman also appeared as a guest character in Fighting Vipers for the Sega Saturn, as a hidden character only in the Japanese version. After delivering the beverage, sometimes Pepsiman would encounter a difficult and action oriented situation which would result in injury. His role in the advertisements is to appear with Pepsi to thirsty people or people craving soda. Twelve commercials were created featuring the character. Tom the epic god Pepsi Man is a mascot of Pepsi since the 90s commercial but it got forgotten and for his power was able to shoot out Pepsi from his hand give to someone thirsty. The design of the Pepsiman character is attributed to Canadian comic book artist Travis Charest, created sometime around the mid 1990s for a marketing campaign. Pepsiman is the mascot of Pepsi's Japanese corporate branch.
